We rarely think about the light bulbs in our cars. It's usually only when we can't see the road well at night, or see those flashing lights in the rear view mirror, that we find we have a bulb out. Light bulbs are unpredictable, especially incandescent ones with fragile filaments. Driving on a dark road with a headlight out is dangerous, and traffic tickets are expensive. Stay safe and legal: learn what fits your car and have replacements on hand.
The Age of LEDs
There's no need to shop elsewhere, because we have replacement bulbs for every light on your car, from exterior bulbs to turn signals to license plate bulbs. We offer conventional incandescent bulbs, but you can also upgrade to LEDs. Light Emitting Diodes are semiconductors that emit light when current is applied. They are original equipment on more and more new vehicles, but if yours didn't come with them, we have the LEDs to improve illumination. You get many advantages including but not limited to:
Shock Resistance. LEDs run cooler than the incandescent type, and are insensitive to vibration, which makes them perfect for use over pot hole strewn roads and off-road.
Long Lifespan. They last much longer than other forms of illumination, 50,000 hours or more, so they'll probably be the last lights you'll ever have to buy for your car. Although they're initially more expensive than their incandescent counterparts, LED bulbs will more than pay for themselves in the long run.
Safety. LEDs can increase your safety when you choose them as tail light bulbs and high-mount stop lamp bulbs. They light up 0.2 seconds faster than their incandescent counterparts, which may not sound like much, but when you consider that at 60 mph a car travels 88 ft. in one second, that time can give the driver behind almost 20 ft. of additional stopping distance, which can be the difference between a safe stop and a collision. The light beam is focused and provides an acceptable level of brightness allowing you to clearly see what's ahead without blinding oncoming drivers.
Energy Efficiency. These lights need low power to operate which reduces strain on your car's battery.
Fashion Statement. Small light emitting diodes can be arranged in many ways within the headand taillight assemblies of different shapes. Automotive designers can unleash their creativity by experimenting with colors, shapes, and the positioning of turn signals and other light clusters. LED interior bulbs, like those for dome lights, are available in your choice of colors, allowing you to create a comfortable ambiance.
